Hello there.

So you’ve made it, then. Welcome!

It’s very unlikely that you’ve arrived here knowing who I am, just as you are a stranger to me. We both know so little about one another. That situation can be intimidating or intruiging, depending on how we approach it… I have found new meetings to be ripe with opportunity for unique discoveries and human connection.
I have made efforts to create a comfortable space here to share with you. I invite you to set the atmosphere to a level you feel pleased with, using the button at the base of the screen. Perhaps you have already done so!

The intention behind this website is to be less about “me” and more about what I do and have done. I’ll do my best to provide context with minimal personal content. I’m keeping the tone conversational, as my intent is to shift the way my words are received and considered. If you think about it, this situation we are in right now (you and I) is really remarkable. Our technology has connected us at a distance via the internet, and our language has connected us through time. I’m taking a moment to appreciate that.

First on the list for me to add are my web applications. I have a handful of web tools that I’ve made over the years that I use in my day-to-day life. Incorporating them into this website allows me to stop paying for individual domains and gets them all together for everyone’s convenience.

Tools that are here so far:

• Tabgapper
  A standalone, installable (to modern phones and Windows/Macs) offline tool to organize your actions. You may use it without ads, without creating an account, and all your data remains yours alone. If you’d like to learn more, I wrote a little bit about it too.
• Brainboard
  A virtual whiteboard with sections based on standard divisions of time, that stays in-sync with time automatically. Also offline-ready, installable, private data, etc. I rambled about it here.

Everything else will trickle in bit by bit:

• I want to upload some of my music here. There is a ton_e of my music that I’d prefer to be re-recorded before it reaches your ears, though I do have some that can be shared with minimal changes.
• I will write about some interesting ideas I’ve encountered along my life and (perhaps) present you with some new perspectives.

I must tell you… creating this website has been challenging in unexpected ways. Originally, I found myself unable to commit to a first draft. Turns out I was considering it in a wrong way. I thought this website would become a calm and collected portrait of the “valuable” things I have worked on, open for anyone to view and use. In reality, it appears that I am opening a fractal conversation with my virtual visitors (maybe even you?). The conversations start the same way, through my words written here.
Once I realized that, I embraced it and designed the site around that intention. For example, you can highlight portions of my words and add your response to them, which lets you then copy an email to paste and send to me. Let us be clear: everything you do on this website stays on your computer unless you yourself send it elsewhere. I have endeavored to make it as frictionless as I can should you choose to send something to me, though it will still take a small effort on your part to start an actual dialog. That’s probably for the best. And, of course, if all this fancy built-in message template hoo-ha is too much for you, you can always take the old-fashioned route and email me manually instead.

So you may be starting to see how this is going to work. I’m making it difficult to navigate this website the traditional way, with the aim of engaging you at a different level than other websites tend to, and eventually beyond your typical conversations as well. Let’s see what we can do with it! For now you may expect the conversation, and in particular this page, to be ephemeral. Things will come and shift and change and go, just like your memory. Eventually something will settle for the curious minds to encounter. This website is just as much an experiment for me as it is for you. I think we can work together. Perhaps the next time you return, there will be something new.
